Beaded Scarf

I designed this scarf last year.  It is comprised mostly of seed beads but there are crystals and pearls randomly placed on it. It did take a while to bead, mostly because the stitch was so repetitive that it became boring.  But once the base was done then the embellishments brought excitement back to it.  Plus it added a lot of dimension and texture.

I was convinced by a friend to enter it in the Anoka County Fair and I not only won First Prize but I also won Grand Champion (the best of the best).  That was such an honor. I had never entered anything in the fair before.  Then she convinced me to enter it in the Minnesota State Fair. There I won first place.  That was fun and exciting and not to mention surprising as well.  I never thought I would win a blue ribbon there.  There's SO many great items on display.

The pattern for this scarf can be purchased here in my secure web store.  It's a PDF file.  Immediate download so you can get beading right away!

Fifty Fathoms Down

Today I have created a new blog where I will be posting and selling the jewelry I make.  I love playing with metals, especially the Precious Metal Clay (PMC3).  In the near future I will be posting what I have created, so stay tuned!  I will also be setting up gadgets on the right sidebar so you can follow me and be notified when new items are posted.  I have not created a blog in a long time and it's like learning how to do this all over again, so please bear with me as I get this set up.
